In chapter's 16 Holden is going home from breakfast feeling bad because he gave the nuns ten dollars and forced them to take it. But after that Holden walks down to the Broadway to buy a record for Phoebe which is called "Little Shirley Beans." Holden likes record because it is sang by a black blue's guy and he makes it sound "Raunchy" and the record reminds him of Phoebe every time he hears it or See's it. This girl Phoebe is ten years old and Holden thinks that she is a great girl because she always understands what Holden is talking about every time they talk. Then soon after that Holden See's a little boy singing in the street and it starts to cheer him up from his incident with the nuns. After seeing that little boy he wants to call Jane, but it makes no sense because he always hangs up if Jane's mother answer's the phone. Then after that happens Holden goes to buy the tickets for the movie for his date with Sally. But then he wants to go see Phoebe so he goes to the park where she always skates at on Sundays. But she wasn't there instead he met a girl and she said she new Phoebe and she said she was at the Museum. This girl had made a mistake because the sister had been to the Museum the day before. So Holden goes there because the girl doesn't worn him, and Holden talks about how every time he goes to the Museum he always changes but every thing there at the Museum all stays the same.
